Detail:

This course is available for people working with children and families in Stoke-on-Trent. For those working with children and families outside of Stoke-on-Trent, please contact your local Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Participants must have undertaken Level 1 Child Protection training before attending this course.

This course will update your Level 2 certificate to continue to be the Designated/Deputy Safeguarding Lead in your organisation for another 2 years.

 

TRAINING COST:
The cost to attend this Level 3 course is:

  • £50 per person
    (With the exception of the three statutory safeguarding partners, voluntary, faith, charitable and community interest company organisations).

 

Course Aims:

  • To increase knowledge around specific drugs and alcohol.
  • To increase knowledge on how to effectively communicate with young people using substances.
  • To develop an awareness of harm reduction interventions.
  • To be aware of local and national services available to young people who use substances.
